Have you written a book and are curious to know what the average person would think about it? You've come to the right place. Books are my life. If I could spend all day reading and do nothing else, I would be in heaven! In addition to working and raising two kids, I've read at least 580 books in the past 10 years, and those are just the ones I could remember when putting together a goodreads list. I do not claim to be an expert, I only claim to love to read.

So here's the deal. I will read your book and let you know what I think. I will give you my honest opinion with any suggestions I have. You can take them or leave them as they are just the opinion of one person. I will sign a form stating that I will not share your work with anyone or talk about your book unless asked to do so. This is for those of you who are not published yet.

The cost of my services is very minimal.
Children's book: $2.00
Books 100 pages or less: $3.00
Books 101 to 300 pages: $4.00
Books 301 to 500 pages: $5.00
Books 501 to 800 pages: $7.00
Books 801 to 1000+ pages: $10.00

When payment is received, I will email you with my address to send your book. If you have any questions feel free to email me at willreadbooks@gmail.com. I promise to read your book and get back to you in a very timely manner. I look forward to hearing from you soon :o)

A sad day

I've always said that all I need to be happy is a library card, so I was very sad to find out that half of the libraries in my area have now had to close down.  Technology is great, but actual books are so much better!  I make regular weekly visits to my local library, and fortunately the branch I go to was one of the ones that remained open.  I would honestly go crazy without a library.  I can't even imagine how many thousands of dollars I would have had to spend in order to read all of the books that I've been able to check out from the library.  So today was a very sad day.  Let's hope they don't all have to close down.

The best children books

As a mother of two young children, ages 4 and 2, and a lover of children books even before I had kids, I've found that I am always drawn to the ones that have great illustrations.  The better the illustration, the more likely I am to pick the book up and give it a chance.  I am also more likely to pick up your book if it is not too long.  I love reading to my kids, but their attention span is not that long at this age and they are always wanting to move ahead to see the next picture.  Just a tip for those writing children books for 5 and under ;o).
